Streaming killing the music industry.

If it was no one would be here for it and it's in a transitional phase like when digital downloads started to get popular. It'll catch up.

the transition is real, but CD and digital download will never disappear. People always want something stable, not a streaming song that could be there one day and gone the other day.

As of today, streaming is the future. Labels and artists are just figuring out NOW how to make money out of it on the same way they were scratching their heads at DOWNLOADS and ITUNES back 10 years ago.

Streaming will be the 'deal' for the next few years until we get a new plataform. Which I am really curious to see WHAT will be

I am the perfect example to this.
I am reluctant but I feel that I HAVE to get into the streaming bussiness to understand it better and because THAT is what looks like to be the future of music for the next few years.

I was this reluctant when it came to downloads a few years ago and today I am a regular iTunes buyer.

STILL, I still make sure to buy and import a physical copy of my fav album to have it on my library even though I also will have the AAC file on my iPhone.

I dont think cds will ever go away - their avaiability might be a lot more restricted but they are here to stay
As for downloads - this one is NEVER going away.

Of course it went down. Adele didn't release in 2013.

People are:

A. Downloading music illegally
or
B. Streaming from some site like Spotify or even youtube.

There's nothing like going to the store and buying a CD, opening the case and popping it in the stereo

On the flip side,

There's nothing like opening up your smartphone and choose any album, any song, any playlist you want to listen to.

I will forever prefer physical CDs.
