As someone who donated generously, I'm well aware. However they have been open about their expectations having risen. They want the GP to attend... That's why we're getting a wider theater release than initially planned. That's why they have promotions lined up.
If it was just for the fans who funded it, they wouldn't need to spend a penny on promo.
