5 Single Snubs of 2013
1 - Ke$ha Supernatural
Remember when this was the most anticipated song from
Warrior? Remember when it should've been the second single following
Die Young? Remember when it was rumored as the fourth single and there were at least a dozen single threads? It's actually a tragedy. Unfortunately, there's no hope for this song to be a hit now, considering it sounds a bit dated and ridiculous and is probably too bland, dance-y and repetitive for 2014 Pop radio. But hey, maybe we have
Thinking Of You. But probably not. Rest in peace, Superprophetal!
2 - Rihanna Jump
I cannot BELIEVE this

Who the f**k would leave behind a smash like this? What kinda flat-out sin? Who decided Right Now would be a better idea? Who is in charge of this girl's single choices? Because every damn year a tragedy this size occurs and I am no longer having that. Granted, Kanye didn't jump on the song quickly enough to turn it into a full-fledged smash, that's what remixes are for. Oh well, bring on R8.
3 - Leona Lewis Glassheart
I actually am in disbelief that no one made this a single? Like, we can make some boring love ballads singles and allow them to flop but this is where I draw the line. Maybe it's a bit too dubsteppy for Leona. Maybe it sounds like
Beauty And A Beat. And yet, this song is a certified smash that got away and I will never be over it. Simon Cowlick better drop her so she can tear the world in two like she should be doing. I'm over purchasing her UK-only albums in the used section a year after their release.
4 - Justin Timberlake Pusher Love Girl
Okay, so maybe he needed to end the 20/20 pt. I era after
Mirrors deservedly smashed the planet in two. He performed this specific song numerous times, however, and it started to become one of those fan favorites or whatever. Actually, I'm pretty sure there are bigger fan favorites than this one, but this song became low-key popular due to him promoting it for absolutely no reason. It should've been a single, it had enough buzz and is a potential classic. This or
Don't Hold The Wall are better than any single from 20/20 pt. II
5 - Lana Del Rey Cola
So, remind me WHY exactly Lana didn't even give this, her song with some of her most iconic one-liners, even a VIDEO treatment? It was snubbed in
Tropico, continuously ignored and is now looked over, even though it's super popular among listeners. Like, okay, maybe it's a bit vulgar. Fine. In which case, swap out this with
American, actually one of her best songs ever, and you'll see that there is some type of crime going on here. Especially in a world where
Ride was given the amount of promo that it was
