From Katy's latest studio album, Double Rainbow is produced by Greg Kurstin (P!nk, Kelly Clarkson)
and co-written with Sia, who has been all over a handful of smashes in the last few years. Sia, while
in the studio with Katy, commented that Double Rainbow would have "no problem" getting to #1.
Upon discussion with some fellow Katy Kats, we can't seem to reach a consensus:
Would Double Rainbow smash or... not smash?
Personally, I think Double Rainbow would be an enormous hit for Katy. Since there are going
to be a few uptempo pop jams coming up next in Katy's single set list, Double Rainbow will
easily do the job of ballad hit (due to Unconditionally sadly flopping in between two monster hits).
It would also capitalize on her adult listeners and would probably pull a Wide Awake on HAC/AC.
Oh, and if it were the FINAL single... it'd end PRISM with DOUBLE RAINBOW! Too perfect!

But no I think it'd flop, it sounds dull and I don't get the big thing for it.
At the right time, it'd smash and be a perfect single 3 27.27%
It wouldn't smash, but it wouldn't flop either - Top 10 3 27.27%
Katy's name alone would make it a moderate hit, but that's it 2 18.18%
It'd flop to the pits and ruin Katy's legacy and take her off the map 3 27.27%
