In hindsight, I would have liked MANiCURE as the lead. It has 10x the oomph Applause lacked. I love Applause though! She tried to sell that ARTPOP concept with the song and failed. MANiCURE isn't threatening and it is catchy. This is probably the least offensive song on ARTPOP. You can tell they were trying it with the damage control, so they should have released CAREERCURE

Comparing then to now, it's like she was another person. Not to say that I don't love her now, but she was just so different compared to the way she is now.
