Uncle was stuck in between Roar and Dark Horse. Roar was still going strong when Uncle was released and Dark Horse was hanging around in the top 20. Not to mention most of the time Dark Horse was above Uncle on iTunes.
Because radio kept splitting the plays between them. And Dark Horse was released as a promo and for some stupid a** reason everyone including the radio stations thought it was her 2nd single. Even though she clearly stated that it was just a promo. Everyone in my theatre class kept thinking Dark Horse was her 2nd single -_-. But oh well, we've excepted our loss and were ready for Dark Horse to take over the world!
no the song is not hit worthy at all just like the rest of artpop. DWUW was the most radio friendly song and it flopped so now she has nowhere to go. wishing gaga luck tbh

it was one of the most heavily promoted songs in recent memory &no one was here for it. all the gp was saying was "wow this is atrocious, she really can't sing can she" & no one was going straight to iTunes to buy it after those performances. nothing to do with dark horse!

This unfortunately. If DWUW couldn't smash then I highly doubt anything else will, as that was the most relatable one. Though, Gypsy is probably the most likely one to be a hit after DWUW.
Also, I disagree about Unconditionally. I honestly don't think the song was that good. The verses were heaven but that chorus is just noT a Katy-worthy smash...

Excuses? We all know with the amount of promo Uncle had it should have at least went top 10. Also, Uncle was battling DH a lot of the times on iTunes.
Unconditionally underperformed cause it was overshadowed by Roar. DWUW won't overshadow Gypsy, so... but i don't see Gypsy smashing. Not if she repeat the DWUW mess.
And yeah, Gypsy have potential, but she really needs to release the video in time, promote the song everywhere and stop with remixes.
