I Kissed A Girl / Just Dance didnt have any impact when they were released. It took a several months for them to reach their full potential, because they were debut singles of a new artists. The same thing happened with Royals. It started doing well in August.

We all know P!nk's singles are NEVER huge in the first few weeks. The song was NEVER performed unlike Roar (VMAs - 2 weeks after it debuted). So it even more fascinating!

It became huge cause of the remix. Born To Die (Album) sold more than 500,000 copies before SS smashed so its not like nobody knew who she was.
