2nite sounds good is this by stargate?

^I like them all except I absolutely loathe 'Greatest Ex' (perhaps the only time I've ever been upset with her for being TOO squeaky clean). In the first minute or two of 'Roller Coaster' I was let down but then I really started getting into it. I think it's clever how 'So Much Betta' ("I'm tired of being number two") comes right before 'The 1' ("I just wanna be the one"). I see what they did there. Anyways, there's nothing as classic as Janet's stuff w/ Jimmy and Terry so far, but I do think she's giving us some decent songs. This will sell on par with what her last two albums did. It's good material but still not strong enough to put her in Fergie's league.

You mean in the 1st week, or in total? Personally these songs are kind of underwhelming. This is definitely NOT a return to form for her, but it's not exactly avant garde in any way either. I like 'Roller Coaster', but it just sounds like a watered down version of 'Come On Get Up' from AFY. 'So Much Betta' is interesting too...I guess that would make a good club song. I think I'll be buying like 3 or 4 songs from this when it comes out but there's defintiely no WOW factor to these songs. Don't expect much more than DJ numbers.

After Feedback failed to enter the Top 75, I truly think it's safe to say Janet's career is over in the UK at least.

I only like "Never Letchu Go", "Luv", "Rock Wit U", & "Feedback". Overall I'm disgusted by this album. "2Nite" isn't even that good.

Yeah I'm REALLY let down by '2nite'. It is nowhere near the league that DSTM is in...very boring. I haven't heard 'Never Letchu Go' though. Where'd you hear it?

I'm tired of all of these typical, annoying, wack ass, overrated, most-likely-made-in33-seconds" songs. Janet is giving me a trip down memory lane and I'm LOVIN it.

Well Well Well!..So some songs from Discipline just leaked over the weekend..I have never really been 'the' quintessential Janet fan but i remember enjoying her All For You era cause she really had a magic aura going on then. After the superbowl, things started to get a bit cluttered and there were some major disappointments but this year is another chapter henceforth the release of Discipline. I am sooo pleased to announce that i was pleasantly shocked with the material that has been showcased with these songs that i managed to hear.

First of all..i gotta say that this may be a Janet jackson album that can be played from beginning to end because there are quite some clever interludes that bridge the songs in a very stylish sleek manner almost akin to a science fiction production..I soo love that..The interludes really take you on a ride and they ALL seem appropriate. Now onto some of the songs.

2nite- Now this song hit like a crashing freaking wave. I know stargate did this and i had already heard about similarities to Don't Stop the Music. Well..They are not alike in any form whatsoever. The thing with 2nite is its vintage and modern sound being mixed together in a pleasant synergy of beats. It starts out like a disco-thumper and Janet really umps the vocals on this..Her vocals on 2nite are basically her strongest since the 'All For You' single..it harkens back to when Janet really let loose on her songs..Even the bridge here in the song has Janet wailing and really feeling the track. The main difference that makes it not sound like DSTM is that 2nite has two bridges and lets the song even out and breathe a little..DSTM is basically just a continous disco run through. I really wish this becomes a single. It is just THAT good..Damn!

Rollercoaster- This definitely should NOT become a single but thats only because its quite a genius little trickster of a track that is just too complex for commercial purposes. There is a magical chemistry between Rodney Jerkins and Janet on this. I also like her letting loose again at the end.

So much betta- This is a pleasant surprise..Really emphasizes the 'less means more' phrase
