i think we all knew as fans it wasn't gonna do good.. it's not showing in a lot of theaters and the biggest problem imo was the date it was released

So just because his management says they didn't plan it means its true? How do you know they aren't just trying to wash their hands clean of the mess since it failed miserably? He tried it at least twice with that retirement stunt, and both times it bombed and got his rapidly diminishing fanbase furious with him. I can totally see why his team would try to pass it off as a joke. It was a disaster for his career.

When he tries to do it again and does poorly, yes, it is an indicator of his "decline". That's the definition of "decline". I don't think anybody would be dragging him for these numbers if Never Say Never hadn't done so well when it was released at his peak.

I don't believe this indicates his career is over like some people are implying. What I think it does indicate, however, is that something has to change. I think he would really benefit from a prolonged break, some maturing, and then coming back with an album that's so good people can't deny it. If he continues with what he's currently doing, acting like a jerk at all times and then blaming others, he might dig the hole too deep.

Yes but is the average adult really interested in him anyways? His main bread and butter are the teeny bopper girls and that group is FICKLE. Many of them have already moved on to 1D. Taking a long break would do nothing good for him.

That seems to be the main demographic sick of him and thus why I said he needs to take a break. He can leave and let people forget about him and then come back with an album and image they can't deny. It's possible.
