Unconditionally just didn't catch people's attention. Roar is still doing extremely well, and that song is holding the fort on adult contemporary and even somewhat pop. Dark Horse was also a huge distraction away from Uncle since its release. Too many factors going against it, but quite simply: it was the wrong choice. Radio caught on to the song until they realized people weren't really buying it in big enough amounts per week to justify playing it over the more liked Roar.
It seems to not be freefalling though, so it will sell 1 million for sure.
