There's nothing wrong with it all. I don't really care for dogs myself. They're always eyeing your plate, follow you all over the place, and lots of them bark at nothing. I'm sure they're nice companions, but some people just aren't dog people. I don't really like going over to people's houses if I learn that they have a dog(s). There was one time I had dinner at a friend's house and the dogs were in the dining room with us. His mom put her plate on the floor once she was finished and the dogs came over and licked it. I was nearly done, but my appetite suddenly disappeared while that was going on. They sniff and lick almost anything. So when they touched the plate, I thought about my plate and all of their dishes.
I know not every dog owner does that, but it's just one of those things that sits in the back of my mind. Same with them sleeping in the bed, being on the couch, etc. This stuff factors into me not being a dog person. There are other reasons, but the aforementioned came to mind immediately.
