There's two different kinds of avatars that will be advertised around ATRL.
There's your "Primary Avatar" that is a "Low quality" avatar that is used on like your profile and blogs. It is also used in place of your "High Quality Avatar," if you do not have one.
For ANY avatar on ATRL the dimensions for your avatar should be 125 pixels by 125 pixels.
In the "Primary Avatar," you can only use pictures, no GIFS. The size limit is 40K, as it is actually uploaded to the ATRL server. And we need as much bandwidth as possible.
GIFS can be used as your "High Quality Avatar." This is pretty much used on your post around the site. Your HQ Avatar will need to be uploaded to a third-party server such as Photobucket, Tinypic, Cubeupload, etc.
You can post here if you need help setting your avatar, if you have a 125 px by 125 px GIF avatar request, or any other questions pertaining to your avatar on ATRL.
this is probably dumb, but how does one go about changing the size of their avi?
Gotta resize it using third-party software such as Photoshop. Or use ezgif.com. I'm telling you right now if the pic you want to resize isn't a square, you're going to have to chop off some of the photo.
