5 Most Unfortunate Flops of 2013

1 - Avril Lavigne • Rock 'n Roll
The first of three Epic Records artists in this small list, Avril provided the best hit she has written since Girlfriend with this song, only for it to be paid complete dust around the globe besides Japan. Even with a tacky, regrettable music video with an embarrassingly high budget and stupidly obvious product placement, this song didn't do ****! #BeEpic! This song will get full recognition from me at all times. It's amazing

2 - Bonnie McKee • American Girl
Maybe this song had it coming when it was designed for US only, the hardest market to break into, with a hardly-more-than-mediocre artist like Bonnie and kinda-dated production. The song, though it doesn't sound like a Katy Perry song in all aspects, was always going to tank under a label like Epic Records but let's be real - this song is AMAZING! Had circumstances been moderately different, this would've smashed and not have peaked at 80 something. How very unfortunate.

3 - Demi Lovato • Made In the USA
Coming off of a smash hit like Heart Attack, you would think this UNDENIABLY CATCHY ANTHEM would've done more than what it did. Especially considering it was released for the summer and Heart Attack was embarrassingly bad (#1 on my Worst of 2013, though), this song had it made to smash... and yet, it stalled on radio for some odd reason and never made it. I don't understand. Especially now that the ever-terrible Neon Lights seems to be doing better, this is yet another reminder never to be surprised by the GP and their iffy taste

4 - Ciara • Overdose
I put this at #4 because there's still some dwindling spark of hope deep inside that #BeEpic isn't going to let it just die and be absolutely nothing when it clearly has potential to take. Over. The. WORLD. But they already sent it to Urban radio (even though it's a POP SONG) and let it tank. Now, Princess Ci is engaged and likely pregnant and this song will probably be added to the list of Ciara singles that should've smashed but didn't due to her ****** stance in the industry. S-M-H.

5 - Ke$ha • Crazy Smash
Technically this did fine considering it peaked at #40 But this "flopping", persay, is kind of bittersweet. Without will.i.am, this would've done so much better in the US, at least, because he's trash and actually ruined the song Like, it's terrible because of him. However, the Juicy J remix was actually good! Which is just so sad considering the one that "won" You can tell they had it planned out since the song was recorded, bleh. I'm glad the will.i.am version flopped but the solo version should've obliterated. Rest in peace, Crazy Smash.
