they put her on #1 last year. her hits and music are among the best of all time in pop. she's high on these kind of lists because she makes damn good music while also despite also being a controversial artist. it's not just about vocals.. or just controversy. (as been proven in 2013. controversy or PR doesn't always work!) if the music sucks then people don't buy it or appear high on these lists. simple.

rihanna is high because well she has been relevant as hell her whole career....13 number ones, 100+ million grossing tour, 30 million albums sold, huge fnabase, icon award,...at 25 and in all honesty the media respects her a lot and so does the genral public
i mean i guess i can say the same for taylor but #8 is a bit too high because artist like janet are behind her....i dont think any of the current pop girls but beyonce should be in the top 10 honestly
