This is outrageous. A simple surgery shouldn't cost that much. Healthcare system in the US is the pits right now and way overpriced.

What that's just outrageous

Our country's society puts money above literally anything, including life itself. You have to pay to have clean drinking water. You have to pay to be able to eat enough to survive. You have to pay through the nose for hospitals to help you stay alive and healthy. Your parents have to pay for you to be born in a safe environment! It's kind of sickening - and it's the fault of business, not the government, though the government likely has the power to bring about change.
