Blogs will reopen on 1/1/2014 with the following changes:
Accountability: Blog owners must keep their blog under control or risk losing it and the ability to make a new one. In more severe cases, you may lose access to the Blogs section completely.
- If you come across posts in your blog that violate our policy, delete them or contact us via help request to deal with it.
- Don’t encourage explicit discussion or sharing of explicit material.
Note: Blog owners have the ability to edit any post on their blog. Only use this if you’re removing explicit or otherwise unwanted content from your blog. If you’re caught placing explicit content into another member's post, you will be permabanned from the forum, no exceptions.
Blog Posters: Discussing or sharing explicit content will result in a warning, followed by a ban from the Blogs section if you continue to ignore the rules. A ban from the blogs section will not be reversed.

I liked the messiness of the blogs it felt like you could be more free to say what you wanted like a sacred place for the member but if they allow guests in blogs then there's no special place for all of us
