So, I recently found the thread about the worst thing about being gay, and I thought I'd lighten the mood by making a thread where we focus on the bonuses of being gay.
Mine would probably be that in a relationship with someone of the same sex there are no gender roles that need to be filled, necessarily. For instance, in cuddling in a straight relationship, typically it's always the man that plays big spoon and the woman that plays little spoon. In a same-sex relationship, you can switch it up however you like. And this also plays into raising a family. If one partner is good at managing a home then they can do that if they choose, not because they're the woman in the relationship, necessarily.
In all honesty, its actually experiencing a different kind of connection most people dont understand/see and being unique. Thats the best part, only down side is you have to hide it to fit in.
