The Subtle Knife, and I'm half way through The Amber Spyglass now.
His Dark Materials is one of my favourite book series, although I've only read it about 3 times.

"The Interestings" by Meg Wolitzer. I've happened to see it on a number of year end best-of 2013 lists and can't for the life of me understand why.
I'm currently reading "Middlemarch" by George Eliot. Only 1/3 of the way in.
