It's not a matter of belief, it's logic to accept that there are aliens... There are more planets and stars than there are grains of sand on this planet... It's unreasonable to think only one of those planets has life on them
The universe is HUGE, I think it's dumb to rule out the possibility that life formed on planets similar to ours.
Or perhaps life formed on planets that are different from ours too, different species might be a thing. Just because we need water and stuff to survive doesn't necessarily mean other life forms do too.
