I think Heaven could apply to anyone who has ever lost someone important to them. She might have been thinking about the miscarriage and watching her mother lose her best friend as well.
To me, it seemed like she lost her best friend in the video even though it was vague with how it ended. My friend thought the friend's baby died. Nice that it's clarified.
