The performers were lame and predictable without Hilary Duff, the overall show was lame and lowly produced without Hilary Duff. I didnt watch the whole thing because there was no Hilary.

It would've been incredible if J and Madge BOTH performed. The QUEENS (yes, I said it, there are multiple queens!) of pop!
Whether you like it or not, Britney has been proven to be the ratings booster. "Will Britney show up?!" has been the default rumor for every award show now.
I have to say that the show was okay, most performances were great, while some were bad. I think that the last 30 minutes of the show sucked, and I wish I didn't stay up to watch that part, especially since Herbie Hancock won album of the year over Amy and Kanye.
Where were the big stars? Mariah, Madonna, Michael, Janet, Justin, ...
