um, Lindsay has been in a horror/thriller, comedies, and dramas. Sarah? only horrors/thrillers. she's stuck herself in that genre, tho i wish she'd break out in a romantic comedy or something cause shes got the looks and talents.

anyways, you just worry about if Duff has flexibilty, cause she obviously stretched too far with Dignity.

Have you EVER watch her show "Buffy"? That show has lots of humor, drama, emotional, action scenes and everything. And Sarah did excellent in each of those genre you said. Sarah still a better actress than Lindsay. Period.

I think Lindsay has talent in ACTING but I really don't like any of her movies.

Sarah has done romantic comedies: Simply Irresistible, and that other one Girls guide to hunting and fishing?? something like that??? But they were both flops even though I <3'd Simply Irresistible.

No I didn't care for 'Buffy' as a matter of fact. And I said movies, or in my genre list I had (s)'s at the end. Not just one show.

And as Rokr posted, the movies she has broken out of thrillers/horrors flopped. I mean she needs a BREAKOUT. Not a TV show, or flop movies.

smg is enjoyable to watch on screen, especially in scream 2.
lindsay is definitely captivating, just not doing the right things recently.
I think lindsay would surprisingly be a better choice because she is much younger than sarah, though sarah would be beautiful in the role, but she isn't exactly 18 anymore.

my choice 'looks wise' would be scarlet.
my choice altogether would be someone more like dakota fanning, a believably innocent actor.
