I personally don't think anybody should say it because as long as there are SOME people saying it, the word will stay in the language and not die out. However, I'm as white as a bitch could possibly be, so it's really not my place to comment on what I think black people should and shouldn't be doing so I pretty much keep my mouth shut on this subject. Oh and just a random thing, but it kills me when I see non-black people saying ****a with an a at the end then claiming 'it's not the same thing as the n word so it's okay!!!' like are you kidding me right now with this ****?
omg you just reminded me of this gotdamn fool from tosh.0
i do, however, think that it should be ok for anyone to say the word in an academic or professional environment, should it come up
it's weird in conventions or papers when they always have to say "the n-word"
I never use the word, offline that is, but it's not up to white people to decide what's acceptable in black culture and what's not. Our culture is simply something you'll never understand so quit trying it.

I'm having flashbacks to poor 9th grade Jameson having to read Huckleberry Finn out loud in class and my teacher didn't give me any guidance as to what I was supposed to do
