Just because you're related by blood doesn't mean ****. Sometimes you're family are the first to screw you over.

How do you know this? Have you met their mother? It's very naive and childish to subscribe to the theory that all mothers always love their children. You're in for a rude awakening if you view the world through such rose-colored glasses.

So? Just because you are biologically related doesn't mean you have to be grateful for them. Being biologically related doesn't mean **** in this world. Sometimes your family will be the ones to screw you up.

Yes. My mother simply does not like me. She is always putting me down and telling me I'm unattractive, I'll be alone for the rest of my life, yelling at me because of my shyness, not helping me when I come to her when I am having a severe panic attack and instead calling me overdramatic, etc. Our 'relationship' is only based on the fact that we are mother and daughter, there is nothing else holding us together. Once I get older, I plan to move to another town and cut off contact with everyone in my family except for my father. It's what's best for me. She's doing nothing but holding me back and I'm better off without her.


I hate it when people say this. It does matter how she treats you. Just because a person pushed a baby out of their vagina, that does not automatically make them a good person and people really need to understand this. If a mother is neglecting or abusing her children, the children have every right to be upset with her or even leave her and they shouldn't be criticized for that. People like you are the reason people stay with their abusive mothers, because they feel they 'have to' which is bull ****. And why do people never say things like this when it comes to people hating their fathers?

My mom is the absolute best. She has the same humor as me, she gets and deals with me and my issues, and we talk about everything. My dad on the other hand...

No, you're rude. You're lucky your Mother is a saint because one of my mates Mother's is a terrible excuse for a parent. She was a drug addict and got my mate addicted to drugs and she can spend 2-3 days a time 'missing' from their house.

She steals his money and says the nastiest of things to him. He probably would've been better off if he was never born, or if his Mother died, at least he would've had a better chance at having a decent life and not being addicted to drugs and having no money.

My Mum comes from the Far-East and is therefore of a different culture and has different ideas, values, beliefs, etc. Me, my sister and my Dad are all Westerners (UK) and we argue a lot, especially my Mum and I because we don't agree on a lot of things.

Sometimes, but they're always small. She can just be very annoying because our personalities are different, so they conflict at times. She's very loud, obnoxious, crazy and outgoing while I'm very shy and reserved. I'm crazy as well but not publicly. I still love her though, but we do have little arguments and bitchy attitudes at each other maybe every other week or so. But then the next day we'll pretend it never happened, like most of our family does. We can have a fight and then the next day it's out of our memory.. or at least not mentioned again. But I live with ha and my parents are divorced so I can't just go and switch over to the other when my dad is states away.
