I've come close to catching all 151 Pokemon (In the first 3 series) with Mew included. I was like less than 30 or so away from all 151.
Anyone encouter the MissingNo. Pokemon? You go into the sarfi but somehow get out?, then surf along the one island with the Volcano Fire Leader? Here is the video of it . It screws your game up though. I've done it before.

Yeah when I first played I did the MissingNo glitch. You are never supossed to catch it as it screws up your game, but when you encounter it, it gives you 99 of whatever the 6th item in your bag is. Then you run from it. It is sad that I remember that. So I obviously did that with the master ball and never had to worry about not catching any pokemon.
