- It was #1 on the Hot 100 for seven weeks.
Need I go on? Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying "Wrecking Ball" wasn't a hit and I'm not saying that just because "Rolling in the Deep" was by far the most successful song of the decade it's the song of the decade, but... It's too soon to call "Wrecking Ball" the song of the decade, and even if it had been released for a year or two, it still probably wouldn't be the song of the decade. There are many songs that did so much more and deserve it more and are better songs, even though I love "Wrecking Ball". It's not even close to being song of the decade.

No, Im not even sure if its considered the song of the year, Blurred Lines was everywhere this summer, I think you are just caught in the moment cause its a song thats had alot of success recently. Its just a good song thats had alot of impact.
