100 BEST SONGS EVER · #96 - 93

♫"She said, "I love this song. I've heard it before, and it stole my heart. I know every word.""♫ | 96 · THE READY SET, "Give Me Your Hand (Best Song Ever)"
Debut Date: February 2, 2013
Weeks on Chart: 4 Weeks
Peak Position: #08
Here comes the first "Best Song Ever" on the list. Oops, did I just spoil a future Top 100 entry? Anyways, I think this song was released last year but I've only came across it when it entered AT40. This is the first The Ready Set song I've heard and I instantly loved it. It's undeniably catchy plus the "best song ever" hooks were infectious.

♫"Can’t think of nothing worse than being lonely. I think you’re the right choice for one and only."♫ | 95 · NELLY FURTADO, "Waiting For The Night"
Debut Date: January 19, 2013
Weeks on Chart: 4 Weeks
Peak Position: #07
All the singles off "The Spirit Indestructible" were just plain good. No single stood out and it was completely underwhelming compared to the gigantic "Loose" era. Of all these singles, I honestly think this one is the best. It somehow reminded me of her previous efforts. And man, that part from the bridge towards the end was flawless!

♫"I'm trying to make you proud. Do everything you did. I hope you're up there with God saying "That's my kid!""♫ | 94 · THE SCRIPT, "If You Could See Me Now"
Debut Date: March 2, 2013
Weeks on Chart: 5 Weeks
Peak Position: #09
Irish rock band The Script makes another appearance on the annual list with the anthem "If You Could See Me Now". Despite not being much into this genre, The Script has always been on my list of artists to look forward to. Again, they did not disappoint as they deliver another awesome yet meaningful hit. It might not be as remarkable as its predecessors, but this one is surely one good song to jam to.

♫"There is no fear now. Let go and just be free. I will love you unconditionally."♫ | 93 · KATY PERRY, "Unconditionally"
Debut Date: November 23, 2013
Weeks on Chart: 5 Weeks (still charting)
Peak Position: #06
Shocked to see Katy this low? I've always been a fan of Katy's mellow hits. In fact, "Thinking Of You" and "The One That Got Away" reached top five on my yearend lists. Sadly, this one just lacks the spark of Katy's previous songs. It's just okay and tends to be forgettable. I can actually say that this one is Katy's weakest single to date.
FLASHBACK
2012: FAR EAST MOVEMENT f/ JUSTIN BIEBER, "Live My Life"
2011: JOJO, "Disaster"
2010: LIFEHOUSE, "Halfway Gone"
2009: KELLY CLARKSON, "I Do Not Hook Up"
