Coldplay had it's beginnings on alternative and is played way more on alternative than pop. I still hear Coldplay songs from years ago on alternative but ONLY hear songs that are their current single on pop.

Infact, I just heard Yellow and Clocks on my alternative station a few days ago -- haven't heard "Paradise" on pop in a WHILE.

No, they're very talented and deserve every bit of success! Radioactive is definitely in the top 5 of 2013, Demons is amazing too and deserved a top 10 peak! Even It's Time did extremely well and had great longevity despite it just missing the top 10, it so deserved top 10 though! On Top Of The World better slay the charts too though! Definilty my favorite band other than Maroon 5
