My mom was a huge Whitney stan. She even took the entire family to a concert in LA back when I was like 5.
We don't know at the moment if the album sales have increased so I'm not gonna comment on that yet. But the US is not the only country, the situation is far worse abroad. In most important countries the album is not #1 anymore, and the singles are doing just as awful as in the US.
