Delaney “Laney” Brown, the young cancer patient in Reading, whose final days galvanized a community passed away this morning, according to her family's Facebook page. The post stated:
“My heart breaks right now. Our little angel on earth earned her pink glittery angel wings in heaven. She took her last breath at home in her bed at 3:10 surrounded by all her family and friends. I miss her so much already.”
Among her final wishes were to meet singer Taylor Swift and for a community carol sing in her neighborhood. She got both wishes granted. On Friday she had a video chat with Swift, and on Saturday thousands of people sang carols in honor of her eighth birthday.
Rest in peace. So sad that she had to go on Christmas too. Glad she got what she wished for and that she doesn't have to suffer from that awful disease anymore.
