Better Prod: Beyoncé vs. ARTPOP
Both girls have had a major hand in producing their last albums and have a co-writing credit on each track of their respective albums, (although Legend has always produced a lot, not sure about Joanne) so which one did it better this time?

The question is: Which is the better produced album?
Simple question, right? I go with Beyoncé. None of her songs are overproduced and/or hard to listen too, while multiple ARTPOP songs are just plain cacophonous. Some of them even feel anthemic without feeling overpowering. Sometimes simplicity is best, and I think Beyoncé captured that. Someone really needs to send Gaga the memo.

I very much doubt Beyonce produced anything knowing her history. I'll go with Gaga because she definitely produced Venus and she didn't need the help of hundreds of famous producers/musicians to help her make her album.

I can see why you would think I meant "Better Producer", but if you look at the poll question, it says "Better Production". As in which is the better produced album, will clarify in the OP. Also - no Joanne did not need the help of many "famous" producers, but she did need the help of a BUNCH of unknown ones. Does them being irrelevant really matter? Because personally I think that just feeds into Gaga's self indulgence and how she thinks she's too good to work with mainstream producers, but this is not the thread for that so I won't get into it.

Artpop sounds like it was produced in the garage of a freshman high school student. Immature, generic and just plain horrible. Beyonce is flawless.

Ok still voted for Gaga though because I respect her craftsmanship more than Beyonces. And how is her working with unknown producers a bad thing?  If anything that amplifies my respect for her because she's not afraid of treading on new grass. It's very easy to just go to a bunch of famous producers to make them make your music for you, I prefer Gaga's method. Anyway I dislike RnB and prefer EDM production anyway so Gaga wins for me regardless. I'm going out now have a good christmas

But at the end of the day, those "hundreds famous producers/musicians" got her a higher metacritic score, much much much better sales and I'm sure will get her more grammys.

I think the production on both albums is amazing. But Artpop (the song), DWUW and Venus completely slay me.

The production on ARTPOP's standout tracks are better, but overall I prefer BEYONCÉ's production.
