i've fed my cat just outside my patio for many years now. i would place her cat bowls on the patio step and fill it with food for her to eat for the morning, before i left for school. one day i came home to find that the bowls were tipped upside down on the grass with ants swarming around the food and eating it. it was a nuisence, because i had to clean up the entire mess before feeding her again for dinner.
this happened every day for a couple months. after i graduated i found i had more time on my hands than ever. so when i fed my cat one day, i watched her eat the food and see how the bowl would end up tipped over. she walked away from the food after eating half of it then suddenly several birds sat on my fence, which flew from the trees above. i watched them race over to the bowl, take all the food, then tip the bowl over leaving my poor cat foodless. the next day they came back and i tried shewing them away but theyd just come back. a week afrer trying to scare them off i realised my tactics were of no use as theyd just keep coming back.
i decided that bullying is wrong no matter what animal you are, so i squirted the birds with my water gun one day and took all the cat bowls to the side of my house where the birds wouldnt be able to find the food. it worked, but shocked, i found out that cane toads would eat her left over food every night and put their **** germs all over the bowl. so i now feed my cat on top of a weelie bin were toads cant find it or birds cant find it. its gr8.
