Literally every time I listen to a song on Youtube that samples another song (Feel This Moment, Right Round, etc) there are a magnitude of comments along the lines of

I mean, is it really that hard to understand that artists can get permission to use a sample in a song? Why do so many people label it as "stealing" or "copying"? Why do so many people fail to grasp the concept?

Some people aren't as invested in music as the consensus of ATRL is. They don't research anything, figure out for themselves, etc.

Nonetheless, some songs are also produced by the same person and that producer will sometime recycle sounds and melodies he/she used in a previous song. They don't know that either.

One time I was listening to "Wouldn't It Be Good" by Cascada and instead of calling up the sample from the 80s, people were accusing it of copying "Everytime We Touch"

Because people think you aren't original if you have to use someone else's work incorporated with yours. It doesn't bother me though. Some sampling is genius.

Because people are uneducated and cant process basic information.
