Her music is good, and that's all that matters. Like, honestly I don't understand why people "abandon" artists if they flop... then no one would like no one, tbh.
And of course not. I stan for her music not chart positions. It's kinda sad when someone abandons an artist just because of their chart positions...
It's safe to say that many people aren't abandoning Gaga due to her chart
positions (although, this is one of the reasons). It has to do more with her actions.
I started as a casual fan, moving through super fan between TFM and BTW but it all became a bit preachy for me and I was left a bit disappointed by ARTPOP. So not a total abandonment but I'm growing less tolerant.
note: that doesn't mean I worship everything she does and don't critize her. it just means I'll stand by her no matter her mistakes, but I do realize she has mistakes
I was a massive fan between 2009-2011, particularly 2011. I was the worst for overhyping her and everything. I spent way too much of my time listening to Born This Way even though now I can't stand it. I didn't jump ship because of sales/charts though, I got tired of her and her music in early 2012 and I just sort of went off her. I bought ARTPOP and like a lot of the songs but I couldn't really deal with being a stan for her or being a part of a fanbase like that.
