Britney Spears Stretched to Look Thinner in her E! Documentary
Though she’s long been revered for her enviable body, Britney Spears is no stranger to allegations of being digitally altered — photoshop, post-production video slimming — to look thinner on film. And following last night’s premiere of Brit’s documentary, I Am Britney Jean, on E!, it’s once again being speculated that the star may have stretched the video’s picture to appear skinnier than reality.
Throughout the documentary, it seems that producers have digitally elongated the picture in order to give the “Work B*tch” a skinnier look.
While we can’t confirm that this effect was employed, it seems hard to argue when you compare the two videos. And it’s particularly baffling that they’ve done this, as most fans of the star can confirm through paparazzi photos that our “Godney” has been looking fantastic and fit on her own these days — without the help of video trickery.
As upsetting as it may be to see things like this happen, it’s hardly the first time a pop star has used the stretching trick in a video. Paula Abdul infamously came under fire for her “Promise of a New Day” music video back in 1991, after clever editing was used to give her a taller and thinner look.

The vid even inspired an In Living Color parody, entitled “Promise of a Thin Me” — woah, way harsh, Tai.
Harsh parody
We just want Brit to be confident enough to rock her look as-is. You look great, girl, own it!
The weirdest thing that Britney said was that her onstage persona/alter ego is a different person and that it's "seriously bipolar disorder." (Ever since her 2008 meltdown, it's been widely speculated that Britney is bipolar, and here she is kind of joking about it.)
