I disagree with that statement that age is nothing but a number, but I'm not directing that towards you. I don't think a 13 year old is mature enough to even consent to a relationship with such an older man. Who on top of that loves to disrespect them with such acts to show his power. Hell when I was in high school sometimes talking to dudes in there 20's I still felt pressured into acting certain ways. I can't imagine at 14 the trauma of someone in their 30's manipulating and exploiting me like that. All in all kids can go and scream all they want about what they are and aren't but they still are that just kids. So that's why I don't like r Kelly and refuse to support him, because that money can go to hurting some other poor young girl

I hate that ****. Females be saying it's ok for older guys to date younger girls because females mature faster and therefore dating an older guy kind of balances out the maturity factor, but my sister is 14 dating an 18 yr old and that **** makes my stomach turn.... and that's not even an extreme case.

Whether a minor consented or not is irrelevant. At that age we all think we know what's best for ourselves and that we're mature enough to make those decisions, when we are actually much more naive than we'd like to admit. Older people are taking advantage of this to manipulate adolescents into a relationship.

It's simply not true. Maturity varies by the individual. I know grown ass females who are immature as hell and teenage girls who seem to have it all figured out.

My sister's boyfriend is manipulative. He be trying to tell her what to do and what to wear and I see the ****, but she's to naive to wake up and see the **** for herself.

It is a number, but there's a difference between that and taking adventage of underage kids. If you are 40 and you want to date someone that's 20, fine.

Age is something more than a hashtag.

It doesn't really bother me that an adult would be attracted to... say a 14/15 year old but god have some self respect and control and find someone legal!!!

Seeing a 40 year old with someone half their age is pretty disgusting tho, but as long as they're happy

If you're legal, do whatever and whomever you want.

But, if you're a minor, please stick to minors close to your age.
