I didn't realize how hard this would be to complete but I'm trucking on still lol
43. Young & Beautiful - Lana Del Rey
I'm a late Lana stan, only really appreciating her body of music early in the year. I was one of those really off put by her SNL performance, but she's still growing on me and now I'm pretty much obsessed with her. This is such a great song, and I'm really excited for her next album.
42. Scream & Shout ft. Britney Spears - will i am
I never thought I would bop this hard to a basic will i am track, but damn this song is hot. It's all because of Britney, bitch.
41. Wake Me Up ft. Aloe Blacc - Avicii
Ahead of his time, the country/folk/edm he basically popularized (ignoring others like the Longest Road by Morgan Page though) is amazing in my view. I was never a real Avicii fan until this album and I'm pretty much in love with True now.
40. Get Up (Rattle) ft. Far East Movement - Bingo Players
These ducks are iconic, and this song was my February jam. I've also noticed that the majority of dance music videos are coming from the Ministry of Sound, so kudos.
39. A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (All We Got) - Fergie, Q-Tip, & GoonRock
This is really the perfect mashup of the 20s Great Gatsby theme with today's current music. Fabulous, and IMO could have been more successful than Y&B as the first single even though both are wonderful.
38. Latch ft. Sam Smith - Disclosure
This music of the future, really. I'm in love with the album and this is definitely one of the highlights from it.
5. Larisa Iordache - European Championships Event Finals
As the next amazing Romanian, Iordache while not living up to her all-around potential, had a pretty great 2013 being European Champion on beam, and medalist on floor at Worlds and here on floor at Europeans. Such a high energy performer!
4. Giulia Steingruber - World Championships All-Around
One of the gymternet's favorite gymnasts, she is explosive! The full twisting double layout in the beginning is absolutely gorgeous, and her leaps are probably the highest out of the current girls. I'm hoping for even bigger and better things from her in the future.
Scream & Shout is great.
Wake Me Up... it's not bad, but I want different music from Avicii, he can do better
Get Up! That song is amazing, finally someone loves that song! The music video is crazy lol
Latch! I just discovered that song way too late it's great
What do you have here? Nice banner. You must like gymnastic.
The Wire is great. Bounce and Alive are ok and like Walking on Air-one of my favs from the album. Can’t Hold Us is epic.
Counting Stars rules, I Choose U is alright, Goodbye, Goodbye is such a nice song. Recover just crushes some good sounds.
Need U (100%) is nice, Sweater Weather is such a slow and amazing song esp. at the cold beach. Safe and Sound is just a great song to dance to.
Of The Night is such a good song to jam to, Dark Horse is indeed a jam and a good vibe jam at that. Royals is so amazing, & I like Beam Me Up.
Young & Beautiful is indeed a beautiful song, Wake Me Up has a good mix that I like, A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (All We Got) is such a delightful jam, Latch is good. Good music so far.
Next set for y'all! Merry Christmas, Christmas Eve, and Boxing Day!
37. Thea - Goldfrapp
She puts out the most amazing albums, and is one of the few artists that can completely change her style but still be original to themselves. Thea is my second favorite track from Tales of Us, an album I still listen to regularly.
36. Burn - Ellie Goulding
Queen of Pop Ellie Goulding finally got her #1 UK single with this! She's been my favorite since Guns & Horses, and I'm so happy she's a legit pop star now. Burn is a total smasher, and I'm happy it's still growing here in the US.
35. Pour It Up - Rihanna
I'm still pressed that it took the whole damn year for her to release the music video, but the song is ace. Rihanna's such a legend.
34. Ashtrays & Heartbreaks ft. Miley Cyrus - Snoop Lion
Despite a super cheap music video, this song was pretty fabulous. Great start of Miley Cyrus's comeback, and super chill tune to relax too.
33. Applause - Lady Gaga
Wonderful start of the era for Lady Gaga IMO. I still love her, I love ARTPOP the album, and I think she's taken a huge step up from Born This Way. Had she not ruined her image with BTW, this song would have been as big as Blurred Lines IMO. Still amazing though.
32. Brave - Sara Bareilles
This has such an AMAZING music video, and Sara is really a super classy lady. I've really enjoyed almost every single she's released in her career. Keep on with the quality music Sara!
My gosh does Azealia have some potential. I still stan for her, even with her two year delayed album. While this was not a very good choice for the first single off of her first album, I still love it.
30. Come & Get It - Selena Gomez
Selena slayed me with this Bollywood bop. Queen of Disney.
29. Animals - Martin Garrix
For all those that say EDM is dead, this song disagrees! Nobody several years ago, even in the height of dance pop, would think an experimental, instrumental song like this would ever get popular, but it's been basically named the top dance song of the year and it's huge success shows that EDM is definitely on the rise and here to stay.
28. Hey Brother - Avicii
This epitomizes the dance/country/folk sound that Avicii started better than Wake Me Up in my opinion. I've noticed I can really play this song anywhere, and it just about appeals to everyone which is incredibly hard these days. My favorite of off True.
27. Youth - Foxes
Honestly, this slayed me more than Clarity, and I've been listening to it constantly since it's release. I'm such a fan of Foxes now, plus she's gorgeous! Hope she continues to blow up!
26. Work Bitch - Britney Spears
My favorite guilty pleasure, but really this song exceeded every expectation I had of Britney's new music, and is easily my favorite on Britney Jean. Perfect gym song too.
