Marvel Studios has commodities such as The Avengers and Iron Man 3 that have placings within the top 5 highest grossing films of all time. They also have a sophisticated phase structure for their films that is proving to be popular with the fans that includes a known 3 phases

Phase 1 - Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger + The Avengers.
Phase 2 - Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Avengers: Age of Ultron
Phase 3 - The Avengers 3, Ant-Man (more to be announced)

The time and effort taken to establish characters with fans can be seen as one of the main reasons as to why Marvel has achieved high box office success.

DC has a significantly smaller cinematic universe that is relevant to the current running storyline for the films and it seems as if Man of Steel 2 / Superman vs Batman / what ever you call it, will be the foundation for an upcoming Justice League film. MOS2 will include the likes of Wonder Woman and other rumoured heroes.

Question: Do you think that DC is rushing? Are they making a mistake by not establishing characters like Marvel did? Are they falling under pressure?

Yes but they won't get anywhere. Man of Steel was the worst movie of 2013, they are done before their universe even begins

Of course..

Even though i thought Man Of Steel was amazing, they are gonna have a hard time with the build up films.
They will smash when they finally reach the first Justice League film. Til then, Marvel stays winning.

The Dark Knight trilogy slays all these Marvel productions.

However, it isn't relevant to the current DC cinematic story line. The state of the current DC cinematic universe would have been completely different if Christian Bale agreed to reprise his role in MOS2 because he has a HUGE following behind him.

It all comes down to box office (unfortunately) rather than making a film the best it can be

I think, they need Man of Steel 2, to have like enough quality cameos then they can do a phase system with Wonder Woman and others getting their own movies in like 2016/17 then push Avengers out like in that same time span.

If they rush too much, no one will give 2 ***** about who is in Justice League sans Batman & Superman.

The Dark Knight Trilogy was wonderful but Man Of Steel was quite a big let down. The more i hear about Batman vs Superman (ft Wonder Woman and a **** load of other folk) the more excited i get but also the more i think it will be messy and shite. There were also rumours of Deathstroke and the Suicide Squad getting their own low-budget movies...

Yes. And they're rushing at the wrong time, they should've done it back with the Dark Knight hype.
