There's no reason not to if you're nice to them and treat them w respect. The people who got their food spit into obvi deserved it

See, this is why I don't want to work in places like this. I'll have to witness all the nasty **** people do. You're being paid to serve them, if they act like ****, you're still getting paid. Don't violate their food.

God, I'm cringing rn.

I was a server for 2 years. 99% of the time I never did anything to customers' food (once it's in the computer, it's in the hands of the kitchen). However, one day these 2 teenage girls came in & were complete bitches to me for no reason. I knew they weren't going to tip because they oozed cheap & I was already having a long day. Long story short: They chose the wrong one.

They ordered iced tea with lemon, so I soaked each lemon wedge in my mouth for a good 5 seconds then sunk it into their tea. As I expected, they were rude the whole way through & didn't leave a tip, so they got to sip on my lemony spit. A fair trade-off.

I would normally take the "high road" when it came to rude customers, but sometimes revenge feels soooo good. Be careful out there, sassy girls. Being nice can go a long way.

you are kidding right?? I used to work behind a bar/waiter and NOONE spits in peoples food, i would never even think about it tbh. even if the customer spoke to me like ****, i would just be a sarcastic bitch to them at the most.

I did work as a waiter one summer and it never happened where I was working.

it legit frightens me that you tell that story with such pride and emotion. That is disgusting.

We don't give tips over here in Italy but I always order a lot of stuff everywhere I go so I guess they're nice to me.

I don't have much control over what I did 2 years ago. Looking back, I probably wouldn't have done the same thing today, because I'm a firm believer in karma & being patient with even the most difficult people.

However, I also look back on it fondly, like I was taking their karma into my own hands. Fire with fire isn't the ideal way to handle those situations, but it was certainly satisfying.

If you're an asshole to your server for no reason (which you should NEVER be), 99% of the time you still have nothing to worry about. That said, if you AREN'T an asshole to your server for no reason, you're safe 100% of the time.

So basically, just be a decent person & you'll never have to question why that mayo was so thick.

Spitting in peoples food is trashy. Same with eating off people's plates before leaving the kitchen (which I have seen) or dropping it on the floor and serving it regardless (which I have also, unfortunately, seen. The manager caught that one before it made its way to the customer, fortunately enough.) I have been a server for three years now and not once have I spit in anyone's food, nor have a seen anyone do so. It is, literally, the most pathetic thing you can do. "Get back" at your CUSTOMERS? FFS, do you're damn job and stop whining.

My mom is very short and rude with service workers so whenever she's being snappy with someone who's handling our food I'll beg them not to spit in my food because of what she's doing It's a legit fear. No spit sandwiches for me please.
