⚫ After her debut "Who You Are", "Alive" was Jessie J's second effort release. Honestly, the album didn't grab my attention compared to her debut which I played more in rotation, thus resulting to this placing. I compliment Jessica for delivering solid and powerful vocals though but in terms of if it was a worthy successor? It's definitely average to subpar and there are not many wow moments! As much as the singles were great, I'mma need Jessie better step her game up more harder next album.

⚫ Looking at that album cover alone, and based on their previous music videos, I cant help but see the likeness of the vocalist Luke Steele to that of David Bowie and early Lady Gaga  Cant say this bugs me much though! But yet, aside from the great production, the distinct vocals takes me to this listening experience in a modern new wave journey. This is my first time listening to an album of theirs and it's not a normal sound that I usually listen upon, but the electro, disco pop thing that they do is weirdly good!

⚫ As Paramore makes a comeback this year, I consider this lead single of theirs as one of their weakest material so far! I love the wailing kind of vocals delivered by Hayley though, but the chorus seems they dont mean what they are singing about with that lazy tune. Nevertheless, it still made an impact as it shot to the Top 5 due to top streaming on my playlist on its respective album release on the first quarter of this year!
