All Minecraft threads expired and knowing that some of you play it, I wanted to create a new one. I've been playing it since 2011 and the game keeps getting better and better with the updates. If you don't know what it is, you can check out the Youtube gameplay videos and purchase PC version here digitally. It's also available for iOS and Android. It's one of the most fun and addictive game out there.
I have the Xbox Edition, so unfortunately I don't think anybody here got that
It truly is an addicting game though. I just got it two-three weeks ago.
I saw you at the other thread wanting to try it out, glad you did! It's really an awesome game but the PC version just blows all of the other platforms out of the water, you should try that one sometime.

Hosting servers isn't too difficult really, at least ones on like your own IP address that everyone connects to, but that means we'd all have to be online at the same time so someone figure it out
I love the concept of that game so much, but I never really touched it thx to graphics looking so squarish. I just can't play a game that looks so awful...
I'm thinking of purchasing the PC version really soon

You DEFINITELY should try it out. Once you play it for a few times, you will be amazed to see how it actually isn't that awful. And even if you still hate it, there are so many HD texture packs and mods out there that will make the graphics very smooth.

I've got a MacBook Pro, and my internet is 40/50Mbps which has proved to run it smoothly before for a few friends. I wouldn't mind trying it out at least.
But lbr, any servers to do with ATRL are going to have problems

That's what I thought, but the whole concept of the game is more about the gameplay than the graphics, so I wouldn't count it out on the fact that it looks bad

But if I play such massive time-consuming game, I want to play out a fantasy, I want something sleek & realistic looking, not something that looks like a 5 year old's lego set
Graphics are overrated. Minecraft has a great aesthetic and fantastic gameplay.
I bought the game in its beta, but it's been a while since I played it since first-person games make me dizzy. I found out a few weeks ago that my little cousin also plays Minecraft on her itouch, which I think is really great for her. Since then I've wanted to play again too, but I haven't gotten the chance.
Maybe now that I'm done with my semester I'll jump back in to a new world.

There are realistic mods to make the game look much better.

The graphics honestly, don't matter at all. I probably wouldn't like it if it was 100% realistic, I can never stick to a HD texture pack, even though they don't change the square shapes.

I checked some of the expired/old Minecraft threads out and saw you saying that you play it.
Used to love the game but sadly my old computer broke down, and the computer I use now has terrible fans so it can hardly even handle browsing the internet without blacking out, let alone playing Minecraft. So I stick to my MC Youtubers now
