Look, I completely understand what you guys are saying, but you have to remeber, YOU chose to work that job. Before starting, they basically give you the run down of **** customers you will come in contact with. If you choose to stick around, it's no reason to complain. If you don't like the job, simply find something to suit your needs. It's not easy, but it's life.

I've been in retail for four years (I currently work at J. Crew) and while I understand what you're trying to say, I think you're a little misinformed.
The other day I was working and I was helping a customer for over an hour and a half, she needed outfits for her Gala, upcoming Christmas party and her staff party. She was trying on tons and tons of blouses, skirts, shirts, necklaces, scarves, etc. She probably tried on 50 different items before she finally decided on three outfits. When she cashed out, her bill was over $1,500. Before she paid, she asked if it was before or after the 30% promotion, because she was just at the store yesterday but didn't have time to look around so she came the next day. I told her the promotion ended last night, and it was only happening that weekend. She apologized and said the only reason why she was buying is because she thought the promotion was still going on. She left and didn't buy a single item. And because we're on a commission environment, I had to put all those stuff from the cashier and the fitting room, back to it's original spot while folding everything back neatly while helping other customers.
The difference between this situation and the situation shown in the video is that my customer was genuinely sorry and she even told me she felt bad for "wasting my time" but thanked me for helping her. Her intention was not to spend one and a half hours with me, make a mess, go in and out of the fitting room, leave piles of clothing on the cash desk to buy nothing. The guy in the video, assuming he is a Beyonce fan, KNEW Target didn't sell the album, and his intention was to cause a burden for the employees.
Like someone said in this thread, yes we've signed up to work, but we did not sign up to get disrespected by customers.
