anyways... today in HEALTH class (my school goes hard on blk history month) we were "learning" about the the history of the word. apparently it came from people mispronouncing slaves that was from niger or something in the 1600's. they even went as far so to have to sing a contract to stop using the word. WTF? whatever happen to the first US constitution? personally its a word i use daily and its not meant to be taken in a "racist" context, and theres no one that would be offended by the word that i know of expect older black focks, who had to deal with the 40-60 which i can understand but times been changed. yes there's still racist ****s but its not something only blacks deal with EVERYONE deals with racism at some point in there life. deep down u all know you only have love for yourself, ill be the first to admit that. but at the same thme im not gonna let you play in my sandbox because your a different skin color.

This was the very same word that got me banned for a few days for. And the N-bomb is the worst word in the English language, even worse than ****, ****, or ****.

Well I'm only wondering why all of a sudden it's uncensored. I watch TV and they say it, and I'm like WTF? Then I hear the radio playing the word.

For me, some black people are ignorant for getting mad when someone not their race says it. I'm black. If i hear a white / or anyone not my race say the n-word i dont care. Cause black people use it to each other like its taking a breath of air. Any black person that gets offended when they hear someone not black say it, are just plain ignorant, cause I can guarantee they'll go off somewhere and call a white person "cracker" or say some kind of racial slur themselves. It's like don't complain about it if you're saying 1m times a day yourself, or if you're just gonna go and call someone a racial slur as well.

as black people, we just need to accept the fact that if we don't like hearing the word, then we need to promote not saying it AT ALL.

Honestly for me it all depends on what context its used it. If it isn't derogatory then i don't see why people would care.... I've been called a spic a thousand different times jokingly by friends of different races and it don't bother me at all. Using it in a bad way would definitely offend me though.

I agree with that. Like honestly if one of my friends says I'm such a *** or something like that it's a joke and it's not supposed to be hateful. If someone I don't know was to say it in a hateful manner then I'd take extreme offense.

yea that's another point. unless they're using it really bad, i might turn around and say 'calm down' or something, if they are getting way out of hand, but i've never encountered that yet.
