Madonna outshined other gala-goers as she posed on the red carpet at the 2013 Met Gala in New York.
Arriving late, the Queen of pop hit the scene in a custom Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci bottom-less ensemble complete with shredded fishnet stockings, a black and grey tartan jacket embellished with metal studs.
She topped off her proactive punk look with a blunt black bob wig with bangs.
Perry hit the stage in a full kimono gear and traditional lacquered hair as she performed “Unconditionally” during the 2013 American Music Awards. The singer received major backlash for this geisha look. Perry was called out as racist for sexualizing a traditional Japanese female figure. The performance received so much attention, Lady Gaga opened up to defend Perry: “Maybe it's because 'Unconditionally' means you're supposed to love no matter what geishas are paid?" Gaga joked in an interview with Carson Daly on Los Angeles' AMP Radio. She added, "I think people are generally too sensitive and they should just leave her be, but you know, I'm not really the person to ask."
