I think saying it'll be released in 2008 is a bit optimistic. Spring 2009 seems more likely, if she is really going to work with Clive to make a more commercial-friendly album.

Kelly has confirmed in an interview she did a few days ago that the album will be out in the fourth quarter of 2008. I can't wait
I heard Kelly wanted some country on this album, I really hope not, go mainstream again, although My December was amazing and could have done a lot better had her label not screwed her over and decided not to promote it

Kelly has had some recognition in Country music though with some duets, so if she did something like Shania Twain or Carrie where it had both pop and country and even rock she could promote the album to both genres.
I honestly don't think she can recover after My December. She's lost a lot of fans. If she does recover she won't selling more than 2m tops. And the new album will probably sound exactly like "Breakaway". So it might flop, or it might not, cause a lot of Nickelback songs sound the same and they still sell like crazy, lol.
