You should look at the official album chart for Germany this week. Prism is still top 40 while all the other pop albums have plummeted.

The MDNA Tour was in the Top 10 most successful tours of all time if I recall correctly, and MDNA bombed. Tours have nothing to do with the albums they're promoting, it's all to do with STAR POWER. Madonna has STAR POWER.

Gaga has STAR POWER from 2008-2011 still. Katy Perry is a "singles artist" remember? So of course Gaga's tour is going to be bigger, just like ARTPOP's first week sales were bigger than PRISM's in the US... oh wait, they weren't. But still, if Katy Perry's tour grosses more than Lady Gaga's the Monsters will have a LOT of explaining to do.

Having a better tour =/= having a better era. So far, PRISM era is dominating ARTPOP era.
