Top 100 time yay! Continuing the Top 150 TV Shows here are 100-91. In this batch I’ve got 7 comedies and 3 dramas.
The Top 150 TV Shows: 100-91
100) “New Girl” FOX
Last Year: 36
This comedy about a group of friends living together took a different turn in season 2/3. The core cast was still great but some of the story lines seemed a little forced and not as amazing as season 1 was. I still don’t know how I feel about Jess and Nick dating, the Schmidt story lines are stale and he became so unlikable in season 3 I wouldn’t mind him going away for a while. I’m glad to have Coach back. He brings a little bit more to the show that it needed. PS this photoshop job for this year promo is horrible (look above)
99) “Family Tree” HBO
This show is about a guy who wants to learn more about his family’s history and where he came from. Starring Chris O'Dowd, he travels the UK and eventually to the US learning all about his past. Filled with some awkward humor, a cute romance, and a great cast, it’s worth checking out this short series.
98) “The Tomorrow People” CW
The CW’s newest take on the sci-fi genre is a remake of the British show of the same name. A group of people with all different types of powers have to work together to avoid being captured by an evil organization that kills those with powers or takes them away. The first season so far has been mixed. Some good story lines, some not as good. And the forced love triangle really doesn’t work. Cara and John are the only match that makes sense, not Cara and Stephen.
97) “Melissa & Joey” ABC Family
Last Year: 55
This ABC Family comedy which has been renewed already and is going to reach 100 episodes was really funny this season. They even furthered the storyline between Melissa and Joeys romantic flirtation. Will they finally end up together? And they had a funny and heartfelt Christmas special a few weeks ago. Hopefully the show will keep up the humor and heart next year
96) “Ground Floor” TBS
This new TBS comedy about an office building and the people that work at the top of it and in the basement is pretty funny. It’s a good pair with The big Bang Theory repeats. It has the guy from Pitch Perfect and Dr. Cox from Scrubs. At the top you have the successful lawyers and downstairs are the IT people. I’ve enjoyed every episode so far and hope it survives to see another season. It’s another success in my book for TBS.
95) “The Crazy Ones” CBS
This CBS comedy ushering the return of Robin Williams has been pretty good so far. Also staring Sarah Michelle Gellar, the guy from Mad Men, The guy from The Newsroom and the chick from The Mindy Project (all last season and I’m too lazy to look up their full names lol) Working at an ad agency, the crazy and strange lengths they take to ensure their business success makes me laugh. You can tell when the actors ad lib and riff off each other and it shines then.
94) “Nashville” ABC
Last Year: 51
This ABC drama revolving around Country music has finally found out what kind of show it wants to be. The story lines are more planned out and clear rather than changing every few weeks as it was in Season 1. The music is still good, and the story lines are stronger. And one of the cliffhangers made me so happy and I hope the death sticks. But yeah hopefully the rest of the season will be just as good next year.
93) “The Mindy Project” FOX
Last Year: 41
After the mess of Season 1 with episodes airing out of order, characters coming and going, and story lines being all shuffled and haphazard, the show has finally found what it wants to be. And that is hilarious. I’m so glad they fixed their problems and kept the humor going strong. The ratings for the show are pretty horrid but hopefully the show doesn’t get discouraged and keeps the humor coming.
92) “Being Human UK” BBC Three
Last Year: 63
The final season of this supernatural show saw some crazy things happen. The way it ended too was a big happy yet depressing at the same time and can be left up to interpretation. Though not as amazing as the show was in its earlier seasons and earlier cast, it did a great job rounding out and finishing up a great legacy. And it helped spawn the creation of an American version of the show. I’ll miss it.
91) “Baby Daddy” ABC Family
Last Year: 50
Another great comedy from ABC Family. The second season was funny, heartfelt and good at coming up with funny story lines for the characters. They all mesh well with each other. Especially Bonnie and Tucker. The scenes they have together always crack me up. The biggest problem with this season was how Ben suddenly was in love with Riley out of nowhere. Danny& Riley should be endgame.

I’m gonna try to do another one tomorrow before I leave but then I will be away and won’t be able to update until I return on Sunday night. So at some point, the Top 150 TV Shows: 90-81 will be up next!
