There are 7 billion people and not all of them have chairs.... The developed western world might have an excess of chairs, but India and China contain 37% of the world's population and culturally they're not known for their chairmaking. I think a lot of the non-city people that live in those countries still don't really use chairs. And what about countries like Indonesia, Pakistan, Nigeria. That's almost 10% of the population already, they don't have that many chairs either.

The fact still stands though that chair manufacturing continues to rise and is highly profitable right now due to a high chair demand in some countries.
