How come the 'least relevant' outsold all the other pop girls in 2013?
Is it magic? Is it just an illusion? Are some people on this board delusional? Just give me a reason.

So selling 100 million albums (people buy those albums) is less relevant than some other girl who sold much less but "most people care if she passed them on the street" but will not go buy her album. Correct?

I thought successful people ARE cool. People will buy your album or come see your show only if they think you are cool enough. No?

There's a difference between having success in the music industry and being a relevant person.

P!nk has had more success this year than Lady Gaga, but Lady Gaga is still monumentally more relevant than her.
