P!nk f/ Nate Ruess · Just Give Me A Reason - Single [ February 26, 2013 ]

Starting off my Top 100 Songs of 2013 countdown is P!nk's Just Give Me A Reason. Although one of my favourite P!nk singles from The Truth About Love, Nate's voice sounds odd, and is why it's scraping in at #100.
[ 99 ] SUPER TURNT UP
Ciara f/ Ciara · Ciara [ July 5, 2013 ]
××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××
Next up is Ciara's Super Turnt Up, from her self-titled album. As the first album track in the countdown, this track is a really smooth, easy listen (aside from the Birthday Cake-like synths). The highlight is Ciara's attempt at rapping, which is actually pretty great, awarding her position #99.
[ 98 ] WAKE ME UP!
Avicii · Wake Me Up! - Single [ June 17, 2013 ]
××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××
Quick to follow is Avicii's smash hit Wake Me Up!. This track absolutely slayed my country, so it was pretty inescapable. I did think that it was kind of sad that he doesn't credit his vocalists like Calvin Harris does, but a good song is a good song, and Wake Me Up! is just that, reaching #98.
[ 97 ] TO THE END OF THE EARTH
Jessica Mauboy · To The End Of The Earth - Single [ July 17, 2013 ]
××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××
Another Australian artist, Jessica Mauboy, makes her mark on the countdown with To The End Of The Earth. Although a nice dance track, it really doesn't scream lead single like it should, landing this at spot #97.
[ 96 ] C'MON LET ME RIDE
Skylar Grey f/ Eminem · C'mon Let Me Ride - Single [ December 11, 2012 ]
××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××
Skylar Grey's C'mon Let Me Ride is the last of this set, which was the track that introduced me to her. Eminem's part is comedic but uninspired, while Skylar's charisma pushes the track to a well-deserved #96.
C'mon Let Me Ride was my jam early this year
Wake Me Up... meh, Avicii has better songs imo, but not bad at all.
Agree with JGMAR!! Can't stand Nate's voice, that's why I don't like fun's music, but the song is not bad. Good place for it
Demi Lovato · Heart Attack - Single [ February 24, 2013 ]
××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××
Heart Attack, the track that made me really like Demi Lovato, falls first in this set. Demi's vocals are pretty much flaw-free on this song, especially at the end of the bridge. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a lot of reply value since is sounds like a lot of other Demi songs, keeping this here at #95.
[ 94 ] DIRTY LOVE
Ke$ha f/ Iggy Pop · Warrior [ November 30, 2012 ]
××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××
The first of many Ke$ha tracks to chart on my Best of 2013 countdown is Dirty Love, her collaboration with Iggy Pop. This really is a love it or hate it kind of song, and I personally do love it. At the same time, although funny, Iggy's verse is pretty crap. Overall the song is a pile of fun, scoring it #94.
[ 93 ] BA*BING
Havana Brown · Ba*Bing - Single [ September 13, 2013 ]
××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××
Next to leave is the second track by Australian artist Havana Brown, Ba*Bing. It's probably my own fault that this is so low, since I overplayed the hell out of it upon first release since I loved it so much. It's repetitive, sure, but for some reason I still really love it, so I've snuck it in at #93.
[ 92 ] JEWELS N' DRUGS
Lady Gaga f/ T.I., Too $hort & Twista · ARTPOP [ November 6, 2013 ]
××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××
Lady Gaga's first track on the countdown is Jewels N' Drugs, ARTPOP's ratchet anthem. I actually love this track, my main complaint is that there is too much T.I., Too $hort & Twista, and not enough Gaga, giving it #92.
[ 91 ] 23
Mike Will Made-It f/ Miley Cyrus, Wiz Khalifa & Juicy J · 23 - Single [ September 10, 2013 ]
××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××
No, we're not up to #23 already, but next up is Mike Will Made-It's 23. I will admit, initially I only listened to this track for Miley, but Juicy J slays a bit too. Somehow this strange mix of artists works, landing it here at #91.
